Can't I be like this Ant?
A stowaway from a stump that used to be the family tree
Now repurposed to hold various plants
around my living space
From his Red-planet (my pot)
He emerges to my surprise,
walking the rim of what sits upon his portion of
the only thing in this new world he's familiar with
A stowaway from a stump that used to be the family tree
Now repurposed to hold various plants
around my living space
From his Red-planet (my pot)
He emerges to my surprise,
walking the rim of what sits upon his portion of
the only thing in this new world he's familiar with
Like an inter-galactic traveler
in caparison relative to size he's out done even myself Now peering out over the edge overlooking the ocean of beige carpet I ponder over what he may be thinking about? ‘HELLO”…”Oh Ants where have you gone?” ‘Better yet, where have I been taken?” ‘Are there any like myself in this place?” Or am I the only one?” |
"Established in the distance
seems to be other plant like worlds in formation of this new heavenly abode", I imagine his own contemplation unfolding "But what is this strange sunlight that appears filling the room without the same vitamins that bring forth abundant life, hidden is the divine splendor that use to trek the daytime sky that I'm used too?" "Nor does its cycle follow my instinctual frequency absent of warmth that warms my Exoskeleton." After all of that
frozen, sitting motionlessly... "Hello there little guy!" I greet my new guest Around the rim he walks after pondering my welcome meeting his body language before his descent, "My home is yours", just watch yourself and try to steer clear of my common lanes of traffic I wouldn't want to step on you now that we are roommates |
Alot in common, you and I
One of kind in an estranged world Without your colony, yet you know your Lord and purpose which is why you aren't overtaken with despair Day to day business for us both has disappeared As if plucked from our old worlds' and placed into this one where we are left only to deep thought, & contemplation over ourselves His-Story is coming to a close so consider it a gift To Allah is the return of all affairs |
"Can we survive?"
I ask
as you
also may ask yourself
Or is food, water, exercise and knowing Allah enough?
Tenacious..
I see the strength
Allah has put into all of his creation
even one of the smallest
"Here's a piece of delicious date"
"What about water", you (ant) ask?
The rain will no longer come from the sky,
yeah...
that must also be strange
this new climate
that remains pretty consistent
A sky (ceiling) without stars and clouds
A few times a week
I will bring the rain
to your world (my plant)
and the others (potted plants) you've seen in the distance
If, when you choose to visit
I ask
as you
also may ask yourself
Or is food, water, exercise and knowing Allah enough?

Sustenance in sustaining life
as Allah provides me
I will provide for you
And we (all of creation) through our good deeds
keep blessing going around
like the wind it reaches all of us
Just-Ice
is no longer cold
under the blanket of Justice
The irony of parables
today between you (the ant) and the human being
fragmentation
the colony is disunited in task and responsibility
harboring hatred of skin color
wealth and privileges,
material possessions, wives/husbands/children
all of such things
that are meant in this life, to test us
50 yrs for me
in contrast to a one-hour car ride for you
as Allah provides me
I will provide for you
And we (all of creation) through our good deeds
keep blessing going around
like the wind it reaches all of us

Human DNA isn't preserved
as it should be turning cannibalistic From the chemical reaction of food substances ingested acting antagonistically on receptors in the brain that alter behavior and trick the body from authentic nutrients generations grown on genetically modified foods so, like you I'm also trying to survive In a world I no longer recognize |
"I hope my hospitality is on par with what you are use too"
not a paradise by far
yet,
i hope to offer you a certain level of tranquility
Believe me,
I share with you
your trials in empathy
Eat, drink, and be merry
wherever you might go within my home
But be careful
from what might peer into the room
underneath the door
it attracts with curiosities
of what will be
to you unknown
while some of what you may find on the other side
you will know
however, if you decide to investigate
beware of the enemy
who deceives through vanity
If you must,
tariq salaama...
Go with the peace of Allah upon you
flow like the water in all your travels
But if you find in the other ants towards you
hatred and a dis consideration for your separation from your own colony
then
you're always welcome
if you decide to return...
not a paradise by far
