When people adopt false beliefs and or philosophy, these false beliefs and beautified ideals affect their everyday lives. Unfortunately the effects of such principals are not confined to the adoption of wrong notions or the offering of worship rituals. Instead the idea of faith & worship is better understood through the lenses of obedience, purging faith from any false notion carries with it a positive effect on feelings, behavior and social life generally. It testifies to the fact that life is affected by the sort of beliefs people adopt. Indeed faith cannot remain isolated from human life.
The fact that people in pre-Islamic Arabia used to bury their daughters alive out of fear of being deprived {men offered strength and support to the tribe which were perceived in terms of survival}.

And do not kill your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Indeed, their killing is ever a great sin.

Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right {capital punishment}. This has He instructed you that you may use reason."
The usage in both cases is related to the different emphasis they have on depicting the mindset of the parents. In the first verse Allah states, “Do not kill your children for fear of want. It is We who shall provide for them and for you. To kill them is indeed a great sin.” (Verse 31) The verse in Sūrah 6:151 Allah says, “Do not kill your children because of your poverty: We provide for you and for them.” (6: 151). Allah swt makes It is clear in referring to the killing of children from fear that their presence will lead to poverty; Hence, providing for children is mentioned first. In Sūrah 6:151, the children are killed because of their parents’ actual poverty {a condition they are already experiencing}. Thus, the provision for parents is mentioned first. If you remember the hadith of our prophet Muhammad s.a.w concerning the soul and when it is delivered to the fetus making it a human being {which the precepts of abortion are considered for it not to be considered murder}:
“Each one of you is constituted in the womb of the mother for forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him…” (Sahih al-Bukhari: 3036).
For a full explanation of this hadith visit my page “The Narrative”; but for the relevant portion we are discussing, The word “livelihood” here constitutes all provision(s) a person will have in his/her worldly life; this is a decree from Allah swt on every person and it helps to put ones current circumstances or future tense thoughts into better perspectives. For example, Its not uncommon for parents to experience sudden changes in their provisions {finances, better jobs, moving to better home/city, opportunities} after the arrival or just prior to the arrival of a new baby...This is due to the rizq {provisions} of the child coming to the parents for the care and upbringing of that child as part of their own decreed provisions. When this happens, smart parents would maintain their current threshold, and account for the extra separately from the blessings of the orphan or child...

And give to the orphans {children} their properties {provisions} and do not substitute the defective [of your own] for the good [of theirs]. And do not consume their properties into your own {spend from their provisions what is necessary for their care}. Indeed, that is ever a great sin.
Holy Quran 4:6

And test the orphans [in their abilities to self manage] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly {while caring for them}, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable {from their provisions for their care}. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant.
In terms of the orphan, this may also mean provisions that have been bequeathed to them by their deceased parents that have been entrusted by a guardian; but since the child has no concept or need for provisions in any other form other than medicines, food, pampers, etc. The rizq of the child is given to the parents for their care, until they begin to live their own lives. In contrast, self-induced impoverishment is usually due to a lack of contentment for what Allah has already decreed on someone; leaving beyond ones means...Since no one will exceed or fall short one cent in what has been decreed upon them in terms of provision, it should then become a criteria of acceptance. Thus every little Qur’ānic detail, even putting something first on one occasion and second on another is for a definitive reasons. In both case Allah is speaking to the conditions of the reader in whatever circumstance they might find themselves. It serves as a reminder that all rizq {provisions} come from Allah:

These few later verses provide a clear case of how far religious beliefs can affect human life so as to establish such horrendous crimes as an acceptable social norm.
The prohibition of killing children is followed by a prohibition against adultery, “Do not come near adultery. It is indeed an abomination and an evil way.” (17: 32) There is a definite link between the killing of children and adultery. We find that the prohibition of adultery here intervenes between the prohibition of killing one’s
|
children and that of killing oneself. We can then see through the infinite wisdom of Allah, the link to which we are referring between the killing of children, adultery and killing the soul respectively. If you notice within the verse about adultery, the Quran warns against this action by say, “Don’t come near’ to adultery”. This is done in order to give stronger emphasis to guard against it because this action is predicated on the natural attraction between men & women. Since adultery is committed to satisfy a strong desire {sex}, steering away from it is safer than tease oneself with brushing close with it. When adultery is made easy, as it has become, resisting it becomes that much harder.
Matthew 5:27-28 [Bible], although associated to other desires of want, lust has come to be particularly associated with sexual desire.
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape her; but the sinner shall be taken by her. {Ecclesiastes 7:25-26}
Hence Islam takes appropriate preventive measures. It {Islam} dislikes the mixing of the two sexes where it is unnecessary, forbids that a man stay with a woman in a closed places for the 3rd will be Satan whispering, and prohibits the indecent appearance of women when they go out or attend social functions. In contrast {Islam} encourages marriage and recommends fasting for those who cannot marry. Fasting {Islamic fasting} improves a Muslim by strengthening him or her against perhaps two of the most substantial urges we human-beings experience {hunger/thirst & sexual relationship}.

[Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew.

The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.
Holy Quran 2:187

It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves {would have sexual relations} [{before Allah abrogated this requirement of fasting upon previous nations}], so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them [spouses} and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship {fasting or} in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.
Ramadan is a month of fasting that is Fard {obligatory} for a Muslim, but fasting until one is able to marry is in addition to what is obligatory...Of course it doesn’t mean to consecutively fast days one isn’t married; but rather observe consistent days of fasting {such as Monday’s & Thursday’s a sunnah of our prophet s.a.w or every other day {a sunnah of prophet Dawud a.s. {David} for those more eager to please Allah or who have a stronger urge to commit fornication}. Either situation one protects them-self while also gaining the pleasure of their lord, by which he rewards whom he wills with abundance as he wills. One thing about fasting is that when one fast properly, the sex drive is automatically reduced; its when the belly is full or over full that most people tend to engage in other sins against themselves.
Islam also disapproves of all types of barriers that prevent people from getting married such as: Racial prejudices, or exorbitant dowries.

O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul {Adam} and created from it its mate {Hawah (Eve)} and dispersed from both of them {Adam & Eve} many men and women {humanity}. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed Allah is ever, over you, an Observer.
Marriage is a divinely constituted union; a gift for man is the woman, and what they conceive together is a gift to both of them...When the sacredness of this union is dismissed to rampant fornication/adultery the civility of human relationships is destroyed and the community along with it.

And your Lord would not have destroyed the cities unjustly while their people were reformers.
I applied mine heart to know, and to search, and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things, and to know the wickedness of folly, even of foolishness and madness: And I find more bitter than death the woman, whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape her; but the sinner shall be taken by her. {Ecclesiastes 7:25-26}

Islam enforces the family role in Muslim's life and emphasizes the religious, moral, and ethical values, on the contrary to Western society, which has started nowadays to suffer from moral decay leading to broken families with increased divorce rate, number of unwed mothers and single parent families. Drug abuse and excessive sexual activities are predominant in adolescents and young adults. These events lead to conflict, loneliness, guilt, loss of self-esteem, and often result in a variety of different manifestations of pathological disorders. As in pre-Islamic Arabia, western culture today is very similar to that way of life. Prior to the last Prophet Muhammad s.a.w, the land of Isma’il bin Ibrahim a.s fell away from the guidance of Isma’il a.s {the 1st son of Ibrahim a.s, whom Ibrahim a.s was ordered to leave both Haj-jar (ra) his mother & her baby Isma’il in the valley of Mt. Parun {mecca} who later was a prophet like his father Ibrahim a.s and guided his people} disarrayed into chaos that promoted desires, Promiscuity, and idolatry...Although the name of Allah was remembered, his oneness & majesty was taken in less magnitude due to the paganism of Meccan Arabs, along with the peoples that visited Mecca each year during the pilgrimage for trade. Alcohol, killing, abortion by way of infanticide were all well ingrained into the society. So much so, that at the time the prophet s.a.w was appointed his prophet-hood, the pagan Arab exhausted every effort to deny, discredit and even go to war with the beloved prophet Muhammad s.a.w in order to not follow Allah’s guidance that was calling the people back to the way of Isma’il a.s and Ibrahim a.s who had re-established the foundation of the sacred, ancient house {AL-Kabba}.
No different than today, under the different disguises cultured sophistication, planned parent-hood, working entitlements of women, and the role reversals of gender within society along with homosexuality; the same pathological disorders of a past are present in the world today validated only by the majority that buy into deviation {disbelief} and calling It by means of modernity.

And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right {Terms of capital punishment/ penal code}. And whoever is killed unjustly - We have given his heir authority, but let him not exceed limits in [the matter of] taking life. Indeed, he has been supported [by the law].
Killing the children {being the female in pre-islamic terms}, or killing them in terms of abortion today, cheapens the sacredness of life and in turn fixates a monetary value to the soul.
Further still, in terms of corporate & state issues of Imperialism, souls are valued according to geographical location, their personal human or natural resources they dwell atop, or ethnicity...In today’s modern world, people attach value to themselves from a materialistic view point, whether that be what they possess or the value that has been attached to themselves through their own human branding; The innate value of ourselves naked {without possessions, or self-entitled values} is no longer seen because we live in a materialistic society...Therefore, many are considered like the U.S. constitution once depicted human-beings as “livestock”.
Adultery represents killing in various ways...
Killing the soul would thus be a consequence of broken homes and communities carried over by the former two societal conditions. Moneti-zation of the soul and rampant adultery/fornication feeds the lack of empathy within society with a host of enablers that lead to deliberate and in-deliberate causes that kill the soul. Today’s psychological disorder conditions from the most minor {attention deficient or obesity in kids} to the most major {self suicide or capital punishment for peoples no longer fit for society} all derive from the living conditions within the home & communal environment that condition these behavioral patterns and solidify them within the cultural-norms of what is to be acceptable.

Adultery represents killing in various ways...
- killing because it wastes life matter as it puts it in the wrong place, yani It is often followed by a desire to get rid of its natural consequences through abortion or infanticide.
- If the child is spared and allowed to live, it is abandoned to a life of misery and deprivation, which kills the development and actualization of the child. Because children who are begotten through means of adultery their existence further jeopardizes the existence of one or both participating adults {financially, fearing divorce of current marriage, public embarrassment, etc} therefore the child can easily be regarded burdensome and treated as such with less love and affection as a child begotten through legal bonds of marriage. Fornication for non-married individuals resulting in early parenthood, my not have abandonment type scenarios, but due to the unpreparedness of the parents the child often falls victim to deprivation of parental and other resources to adequately care, support and help the child develop as the parents can also be lacking in the same sense.
- Moreover, it is a killing of the community because family relations are thus lost, and blood ties are confused and or ignored out of embarrassment. In extreme cases for people whom adulteress actions become fixed too; people will have little trust that the children they bring up are their own. All such conditions weaken community relations and the spirit of the community more or less dies over time.
- In addition, adultery may also be described as a killing of the community for a different reason; The ease which it provides for the fulfillment of sexual desires makes marriage a redundant institution, and thus the family becomes an unnecessary responsibility or fails to even exist because more importance is now attached to the easy of our own individual wants. Remaining unmarried is of course something that a person has complete control over if they so desire, our issues are when we remain unmarried but have relations that should require marriage. We must not forget that the family is suppose to provide the first society for a child to live, grow, and interact...A proper home then becomes essential to structuring a sound human nature.
Throughout history, every community that allowed immorality to spread saw its own decline brought about. However, most people don’t consider this to be true, and suggest that our modern approaches today will bring about different outcomes from previous nations and their fates. Perhaps a big reason for this lack of understanding is due to the fact that Europe and the United States continue to enjoy power despite the fact that immorality is widespread throughout. Yet the results of such loose morality are now apparent in older nations, such as France. As for new nations like the US, it may take some time yet before such effects are visible, although i would suggest the consequences are already being seen. For example: Consider a young man/woman who gives rein to his/her desire(s). The effects of their obedience or addiction to their desires may not manifest themselves while he/she is young, but show up later as he/she grows older or grows in the indulgence of those desires, then his/her decline is rapid. Or like that of an un-diagnosed illness like cancer...Often the subject may carry on ignorantly of their condition until one day, the disease peaks out his ugly face which in turn tailspin’s the subject into a rapid decline from happiness, prosperity, and security to despair, desolation and mortality.
If you have time, look back through the catalog of media mainly mainstream television and the cinematic movies over the past 50 yrs. When you do, you see that human conditioning isn’t something that can just take place over night, especially for those who are already firmly grounded in their values etc. But, when things are change subtly over a period of time {50yrs} often the changes are so subtle that they remain unseen and seldom felt.
|
For example: Hostility is not an innate instinct but instead its a reactive response so, egocentrism and antisocial cravings like “greed” are not inevitable phases of human development but rather an expression of a neurotic process of suffering. Family is an important socio-cultural component as it is the unit of the society, which has a huge impact on personality development and a potential factor in different psychiatric disorders. Permanent loss of a parent during childhood may increase the vulnerability to certain forms of psychopathology and from the many changes over the past 50yrs simultaneously coinciding with media programming has been the erosion of the family. As society has gotten more and more naked, the institution of marriage has suffered driving divorce to over half in percentages of failure. As a result, the family has lost its cohesion as people are transformed from collectivism to individualism.
The Internet has made pornography so easy, its so easy, its almost oppositely difficult to avoid it...subhanallah {glory be to Allah}, we {society} is now in the bowels of immortality. Over 42% of children between the ages of 10-17 have been directly effected or exposed to pornography or relevant images as television programming doesn’t fall to far behind in what’s allowed. The Journal of “Psychology of Addictive Behavior” , suggest that’s it not just pornography that affects our lives but, its how we perceive our own use of it that links how we think and feel about ourselves. This perception is what has been associated to depression, anger, anxiety; Researchers suggest its our own sense of being “out of control” that leads to mental health issues.

All human beings experience at some point in their life waswasi {the whispers of satan}, regardless of age, sex, faith, or creed. However, the nature, content, severity, and influence of these waswasi {whispers} vary from one person to the other. That’s because temptations are tailor made...what i mean by that is, what I’m able to oppose others might be weak and vice-a-versa.
So, it only causes mild anxiety and worry for some, while for others it may more severely affect them to the point of becoming spiritually, mentally, emotionally, psychologically, and socially incapacitated.
So, it only causes mild anxiety and worry for some, while for others it may more severely affect them to the point of becoming spiritually, mentally, emotionally, psychologically, and socially incapacitated.
Lust is so powerful a force, that it often extends beyond the power of reason to contain it. According to one mediaeval folklore, when Alexander the Great found Phyllis (by some accounts, his wife) riding Aristotle like a horse around the garden, Alexander exclaimed, ‘Master, how can this be?’ Quick on his feet, Aristotle replied, ‘If lust can so overcome wisdom, just think what it could do to a young man like you.’
But it is not just that lust can sometimes overcome reason. For many researchers, lust ultimately directs all human behaviour. One analogy is borne out of this theory by way of modern advertising, which is geared to making people lest content with what they already have by suggesting that buying a particular product, or engaging in certain practices will help us to obtain the objects of our lust. Unfortunately, In contrast, no one has ever made a fortune by peddling restraint or wisdom...
It is sometimes said, “Everything is about sex, except for sex itself, which is about power.”
It is sometimes said, “Everything is about sex, except for sex itself, which is about power.”
A 2016 functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) study of porn viewers in the Journal “NeuroImage”, showed elevated activity in the ventral striatum when male participants viewed something sexy, suggesting that the brain’s reward system was releasing dopamine. Meanwhile, analysis of the participants’ self-reported porn watching habits showed that many of them reported subjective symptoms of porn addiction.
|
When comparing the fMRI data and the survey results, scientists found that the degree of ventral striatum activation correlated with the degree of porn addition each participant reported via questionnaire. In other words, people who reported signs of porn addiction experienced greater degrees of ventral striatum activity when they looked at porn. In this image, we can see the ventral striatum, at the center of the image, lit up in the brain of a subject while he looks at something they considered sexy.
Since porn is usually a solo act toward self-gratification, each exposure impacts the person in how they view their spouses and or the opposite sex. Objectification of the opposite sex strains relationships, through expectations or even through a persons own issues of insecurities. Another response to the shame of lust, and much more prevalent in our culture today, is to misconstrue lust as romantic love, In contrast to lust, love is respectable, even commendable. Love is the acceptable face of lust, but the love that is lust in disguise is even more perverse and destructive, and, in that sense, even more shameful, than the lust that knows itself. While lust is hasty, furtive, and deceitful, love is patient, measured, and constant. While lust is all about taking, love is all about sharing. While lust is all about using, love is all about building...

That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.

Holy Quran 103:1

By {the passage of} time,
Holy Quran 103:2
------------------
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
Holy Quran 103:3
------------------
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
Time is a standard of measure by which humanity counts the days, weeks, years and centuries...Its also a firm standard by which humanity is able to measure how long it takes to go from conditions of benefit back to conditions that incur punishment and destruction. Thus, time although intangible, has often be consider to be an invisible foe for humanity...With the passage of time mankind lulls off to sleep. First conscious with an all self-aware soul; man nods and slowly drifts off to sleep metaphorically from the illusionary worldly life from the understanding of the next life and our true purpose until he/she becomes sound asleep to what is happening around him/her fixated now only on individualism and the pleasures of this world. But Indeed, humanity is lost...Blindly embarking upon the same pathways of previous peoples & nations who were all destroyed from the same diseases of worldly pleasures illegally obtained or indulging. Except one criteria remains! That is those of us who believe in Allah {the truth, his wisdom, and try to abide by the prohibited things as well as the permissible things} and that we oppose the evil practices of society and call people to that which is good. These are the actions of reminding {dhikr} that wake those up who slumber from the “American Dream” before the throws of death naturally lift the veil from over the eyes....
Holy Quran 3:186
------------------
You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you [jews/christians] and from those who associate others with Allah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allah - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination.
Holy Quran 3:185
------------------
Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection {for what we have done in this life}. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion.
Holy Quran 6:69
------------------
And those who fear Allah are not held accountable for the disbelievers at all, but [only for] a reminder - that perhaps they will fear Him.
